You can't win them all.
I really struggled in this class. It was hard. Physics in my experience has been something that came relatively easy, up until now. I think the main difference was now I really couldn't see what was going on. I couldn't immediately visualize what was going on. In contrast to mechanics, where I can see the ball being dropped or the friction keeping the car going around a banked curve on the track, it was incredibly difficult to "see" potential, electrical interactions, and then translate that into correct calculations.
I did learn something that changed my perception of the world around me though - special relativity. Something that I had never encountered before, special relativity is still hard to believe. But it was cool retracing the logical steps through proving its validity, and then almost a little scary when realizing it's implications and how time wasn't as rigid a fundamental law as I thought.
Definitely a challenge.
