Science has proven that human actions are undeniably altering the global climate by changing Earth's radiative forcing equilibrium.
My time with Professor Bob Pavia was very well spent. This class opened up an entirely new part of the world to me, as a large portion of the class we spent focusing on Arctic culture and looking at the effects of climate change through the lives of the indigenous arctic peoples. We examined what roles art, activism, and science played in the constant struggle of the global population with climate change, as well as diving deep into how they intersected and magnified each other. One of the things I most enjoyed about this class was how much material we were able to cover with a surprising depth, and by the end of the quarter I really felt I had a grasp of not only the scientific phenomenon that was global warming, but was well versed in the social and cultural dynamics of the issue as well.
I definitely recommend taking this class if you can. It's not solely for Honors students and is incredibly intriguing. Professor Pavia is great as well.
