I took this class because I needed a Composition credit, which I didn't end up taking during my freshman year, which I would recommend if you're a stem major. That being said, and as a self-proclaimed STEM student, this class was actually a ton of fun. It was a type of writing I hadn't spent much time doing before, which involved really thinking about the way in which you said what you were saying - meaning the media you use to convey a message and the combination of modes which make the message most effective. This class taught me some valuable skills which I definitely will use whenever I need to get a message across to someone else, as well as giving me an opportunity to explore my own heritage. For my final project, which you can see below, I made a pamphlet which detailed an auto ethnographic research project on the challenges of a multiracial identity.
